Version 0.2.0.9 — Test Release

Fennel

Fennel is the first architecture test of PanPlay’s next interface generation: a small application shell built on the independently versioned Pangom Web Framework (PWF), running on the same evolved PanPlay engine underneath. It’s a pure test release — unstable, not for productive use — while Everlasting (0.1.1.0) remains PanPlay’s supported long-term stable version. This post follows the whole 0.2.x/0.3.x PWF generation as it develops, with a new section added below every time a build ships.

Fennel connected the core Player, Track History, Broadcast Schedule, Station Information, Settings, and About routes on the new shell, plus laut.fm and Baseaudio playback, Google Cast, the Content Protection Mechanism (CPM), and live theme switching. Full detail is in the build changelog.

Fieldrush

0.3.0.0 “Fieldrush” [Build 1050]

Fieldrush continues the PWF-based interface work. It restores PanPlay’s per-extension interface separation on top of PWF (laut.fm and Baseaudio each own their own interface pieces again, just like on the original interface), reworks the mobile transport bar, wires the interface language selector up across all 18 supported languages, and improves Google Cast and lock-screen metadata reliability. Mostly work under the hood — the visuals are still catching up, with more coming soon 😉. Release on GitHub.

An overview of every release, its build number, and its current support status is on the Version Overview page. Once this generation reaches a stable, supported release of its own, it’ll get promoted out of this running post and treated the same way Everlasting is today.
